Come Join the fun at our THIRD-annual Orchestra Day Camp
for Middle School Students!
JUST ANNOUNCED! THIS YEAR'S 8TH GRADERS (rising 9th graders) ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ORCHESTRA CAMP!!!
Classic Winds, Strings & Percussion is please to announce the
continuation of an important educational and fun opportunity for all rising 7th, 8th and 9th grade
orchestra students. Our middle school orchestra day camp will provide you the
opportunity to play during the summer with others who love their instruments.
Well-known, professional music instructors will work with students in both large and small
ensemble settings. Special guest artists will perform for the campers throughout the
week. The camp will conclude with a special concert performed by the camp orchestra on Friday afternoon.
Fees
The fee for the entire week is $195.00, and includes all instruction,
all music, camp t-shirt, masterclasses, performances by visiting artists, lunch and snacks.
You may make a non-refundable, partial registration payment of $95.00 or send you full payment of
$195.00 with your application. The balance of your payments is due May 31, 2004.
Upon receiving your application, we will mail you a notice of acceptance and camp schedule.
Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, but we have limited
openings so apply soon! Please send your completed application with payment to:

Elegibility and Information
If you will be entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade this fall, or entering 6th grade with at least
one year of experience on your instrument, you may apply. Your applications must
have a parent or guardian signature. The application deadline is
May 15, 2004. Late applications will be considered where openings exist.
Camp will begin promptly at 9:00 am on Monday morning. Registration will be
completed at that time. Our daily schedule will be as follows. (The schedule
between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm is subject to revision given the needs of our campers.):
- 9:00 am - Full band/orchestra rehearsal
- 12:00 pm - Lunch and recreation
- 1:30 pm - Masterclasses for each instrument with instructor
- 2:30 pm - Performance by guest artists
- 3:30 pm - Full orchestra rehearsal
- 4:00 pm - Dismiss
A Few More Specifics
- Students must furnish their own instruments; large percussion will be provided.
- Clothing for daily wear is casual
- Campers are expected to attend all daily activities and to participate in the final
concert
- Lunch will be provided by the food service at the church. We'll have food kids like!
