
Cello - Nan Maddox
Nan Maddox is one of the Atlanta area's most in-demand teachers, having shared herj oy of music making with students for over 30 years. She was a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for 27 years, performing on many of their Grammy Award winning recordings. Mrs. Maddox holds the Bachelor of Music with Honors degree in Performance from Converse College and has completed summer studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Her cello studies have been with Rudolf Kratina, Han Schmettau and Martha Gerschefsky. Performing chamber music regularly, Mrs. Maddox is a founding member of the Deckers Ensemble and the Lyra String Quartet. She has been the former cello instructor at Clayton State and Kennesaw State Universities and currently teaches cello, chamber music and string methods at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia.

Violin & Viola - Elonia Varfi
Born in Tirana, Albania,Eloniais a graduate of the Albanian National Academy of Arts and received a Master of Fine Arts in Violin Performance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory. She has been a member of the Albanian National Radio Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, the Minneapolis Pop Orchestra, and was concertmaster of the Mankato Symphony and the Minnesota Valley Sommerfest Chamber Orchestra. In Atlanta Elonia has performed with the Atlanta Lyric Theater, the Gwinnett Philharmonic, the Atlanta Ballet, and the Atlanta Symphony. She is currently a member of the Cobb Symphony and keeps an active violin studio here at Classic Winds, STRINGS & Percussion.
