Flute - Candace Keach
Candace Keach, originally from Athens, Georgia, lives in Atlanta and has been principal flutist with the Macon Symphony since 1984. She has been a featured soloist with this orchestra as well as with summer music festivals in Italy, Switzerland and France. Her orchestral experience in the southeast has also included performances with The Atlanta Symphony, The Birmingham Symphony, The Greenville Symphony and with The National Touring Company's "Phantom of the Opera." Candace teaches in Atlanta at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School, The Lovett School and at Spelman College. She was interim flute professor at Berry College in Rome, Georgia from 1993 - 1995. Her own studies were at the University of Georgia and at New England Conservatory in Boston. For the past ten years, she has been studying, practicing and teaching various modalities of sound therapy. In 2002 she created  her first CD, "As Above So Below," which has been highly acclaimed, particularly within the healing arts community.

Saxophone - Robert Cowles
Bob Cowles is a native of Marietta, Georgia, having attended the University of Georgia.  Mr. Cowles holds the Bachelors of Music Education, Masters of Music Education, and Educational Specialist degrees.  Currently in demand as a music consultant, adjudicator and guest conductor throughout the state, Mr. Cowles finds time to bring his 30 plus years of private teaching expertise to interested saxophonists.  Mr. Cowles opened Walton High School in 1976, serving as its first and head band director until his retirement in 1997.  He is currently a member of Tara Winds and the Cobb Wind Symphony and has performed and conducted at the presigious Mid West International Band and Orchestra Convention in Chicago.

Clarinet - Allison Blackburn
Allison Blackburn holds the Bachelor of Music degree from Louisiana State University and the Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from The Cincinnati College Conservatory.  She is a native of Cobb County and works with several local private and public school bands as a clarinet instructor.  Her clarinet studies have been with Alexander Krakovski of the Moscow Symphony, Steven Cohen and Ronald DeKant.   Allison has extensive performance experience in chamber and orchestral music and has had several years of successful private instruction experience with middle and high school students.

Clarinet/Oboe - Kevin Tant
Kevin Tant, a multi-instrumentalist, teaches clarinet, oboe and saxophone at Classic Winds.  Kevin is a graduate of Georgia State University, holding both a Bachelors and a Masters degree.  Mr. Tant's studies have been William Rappaport of the Atlanta Symphony and Alexander Krakovski of the Moscow Symphony.  With over 15 years of private teaching experience, Kevin relates very well to the challenges of the young players.

Saxophone - Christi Brogden
Like so many fine saxophonists from around this area and the southeast, Christi Brogden is a former student of Robert Cowles.  She is a Cobb County native and attended Louisiana State University earning a Bachelors of Music Education degree.  Her saxophone studies have been with Rich Jones, Robert Cowles and Griffin Campbell.  Mrs. Brogden has several years of successful public school teaching experience in Georgia and Louisiana.  She is a member of Music Educators National Conference, Sigma Alpha Iota, and she holds a current Georgia Teaching Certificate for the State of Georgia.   She is currently a stay at home mom with her two children and is a part-time clinician, instructor and musician in Metro Atlanta.  Christi performs with the Cobb Winds Symphony, a local jazz band and teh Due West Methodist Church Orchestra.

Saxophone - Rich Mays
Rich Mays is also a Cobb County native, having returned to the USA after spending several years in Germany performing as a classical saxophonist.  He holds degrees from Florida State University (Bachelor of Music) and The Manhattan School of Music (Masters in Saxophone Performance).  His saxophone studies have been with Patrick Meighan and Paul Cohen.  Rich has performed and professionally recorded with the Tetraphonics Saxophone Quartet and the Rascher Saxophone Orchestra in Germany.
