Ravan I. Durr

Saxophonist/Instructor Ravan I. Durr graduated from Marietta High School in 1976 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Jacksonville State University and the Master of Music Performance from the University of Georgia. His primary saxophone teachers have been Dr. Ronald Attinger and Dr. Kenneth Fisher.

Mr. Durr has extensive performance experience in both jazz and concert chamber music. His music can be found on YouTube by searching Ravan I. Durr, then clicking on the saxophone pic. Mr. Durr retired from the Cobb County School System after 24 years of service as a band director for middle and high school. Ravan and his wife Sheila have four grown children and reside in Marietta, Georgia.
